I’ve finally gotten back into full production mode with my video schedule, so this week has gone by fast af!!!!
I watched Marcello’s new special on Netflix and it inspired me to get my eyebrows threaded for the first time in like 3 months (iykyk). I don’t know about you, but when you get your eyebrows done does it last for like 2 months and you’re lowkey like “will they ever grow back lol 😅” and then bam suddenly a full set of caterpillars has formed on your brows in week 9? I’ve been going to Rozina’s in LA since 2007 (!) and eyebrows are TEN DOLLARS before tip. My girl is Tahira, she is the best.
G.H. Bass Loafers
Ok now for the next installment in my quest to replace all my sweatsuits and oversized tshirts with *normal* clothes so I’m not dressing like Adam Sandler anymore. I got this pair of black loafers.
I’ll admit I haven’t really been on board with the loafer renaissance in recent years. For me, loafers are giving Elaine from Seinfeld, and also remind me of the days I had to wear literal loafers for my uniform in Catholic school. They have some cute chunky loafers out there, but I don’t like lugg soles on me because it’s giving Herman Munster. But I FINALLY gave in and got a pair of flat loafers – and they’re the same exact ones I used to wear in school lol!
These are so comfy and honestly???? I shoulda hopped on the loafer train way earlier cuz they are amazing cuz you don’t have to worry about tying shoelaces or zipping anything up or nuthin!
That last sentence sounded like something little Orphan Annie would say, and I think it’s the effect that the loafers are having on me. When I wear these I suddenly get the urge to write out 100 lines of cursive standards during detention while Sister Martha Louise eats canned peaches at her desk. Or I feel like breaking out in either kickball, OR a full moonwalk….cuz when I wear white socks with them it’s giving Michael Jackson on the Dangerous World Tour.
Also….I have said this to MULTIPLE people: “haha, I need to get some pennies for these penny loafers” and every single one of them has looked at me and gone “wait, what do you mean, what does that mean?” DO PEOPLE NOT KNOW ABOUT PENNIES IN PENNY LOAFERS ANYMORE???? I guess we’re not in good ol’ 1955. The little slot in the front of the loafer is where you put a shiny penny!!!! It’s like a trust fund for your shoes.
Fashion Nova Camo Pants
The Abercrombie camo pants I bought have been a HIT. I’ve accrued so many compliments, except for the guy at 7-Eleven who asked if I was in the National Guard.
Now I’m trying to find more cargo pants, but literally the only brand that sells cargo pants with my inseam (36″) is FASHION NOVA LOL.
I just ordered these ones in black and green. This is my first FashionNova order ever and I will report back.
Potato Scrubber
My diet is pretty healthy these days. I can’t tell if it’s late-onset new year’s resolutions, or if after 39 years Los Angeles is finally starting to rub off on me, but I’m just going with it. I decided that in 2026 I’m not eating any sweets unless it’s some kind of blood sugar emergency (she’s grumpy!), or if I’m on a date, OR if I’m suddenly in a once in a lifetime dessert opportunity (hired to run the Pope’s instagram when he stops in LA and goes to Susiecakes? Who knows what adventures could await!). Since there’s no sugar in sight, I’m really into sweet potatoes right now.
I got this potato scrubber and I love him because he looks like he could be the random Irish cousin of the California Raisins.
Rorra Water Filter
Last year after the LA fires I was too spooked to use tap water in my Brita filter, so I have been subsisting on gallon water bottles for a full year. The horror.
I had a come-to-Jesus moment recently and decided to get the Rorra filter instead of spend any more money on plastic gallons. It’s the only plastic-free water filter I could find so I just pulled the trigger. So far so good!

I just saw these Tabasco lip glosses at Sephora and OMG?!
Makeup Brush Cleaner
This makeup brush cleaner has been in heavy rotation ever since I started making my videos because my makeup brushes are really tasting the rainbow with all my colorful eye lewks. Seriously, every primary color is currently caked into my brush collection on a regular basis and this helps me rinse and dry them out with the quickness!!
Rode Colorful Microphones
I already have the original black version of this handheld Rode mic adapter in my arsenal but holy guacamole look at the new colors they came out with! I haven’t felt this excited about a piece of tech since seeing the orange iMac in JLo’s If You Had My Love music video in 1999.
Entertainment
I downloaded Bright Young Women from Libby, and attempted to go see the new 28 Years Later movie but didn’t realize it was a sequel and I never saw the first 28 Years Later movie so ended up not going oopsies. Have a scrumptious week and see you for the next DIY 😀
